About Jake Gibson
Jake’s estate agency career began back in 2006 as an Office Junior at a large independent estate agency in Basildon. From making the teas and dropping leaflets, he worked his way through almost every role in the business, eventually becoming an Area Partner before taking the leap and co-founding Gibson & Brennan with Mickey in 2022.
Over two decades in estate agency has given Jake a huge amount of experience, but he’s never been particularly interested in doing something simply because “that’s how estate agents have always done it”.
He is constantly looking at how Gibson & Brennan can improve – whether that’s through better marketing, new technology and AI, improving the customer experience or simply finding smarter ways of doing things.
Despite all the technology available today, Jake firmly believes that the most important part of estate agency hasn’t changed: people want someone they can trust, who communicates with them and genuinely cares about getting them moved.
Today, Jake is heavily involved in the marketing and day-to-day running of Gibson & Brennan, as well as meeting homeowners and helping them plan the best strategy for selling their property.
Outside of work, Jake spends most of his time with his wife and two children. Football also takes up a fair chunk of his spare time – whether that’s watching it, playing when the body allows, or coaching his son's team!
